Credit risk is the main kind of risk which our country's commercial banks face. In recent years, with the expansion of the influence of the sub-loan crisis in America, international economical and financial environment is unstable, and the risk of economic recession in China increases. Almost all types of business in China have been affected and potential credit risk of commercial banks increase significantly. The reaction pressure of the balance and the ratio of non-performing loans increase. Therefore, how to prevent and control the credit risk of commercial banks in China has very long-term and profound practical significance.According to the reality of the credit risk management in China, this paper focus on the credit approval decision-making model, credit risk classification and internal credit rating, and explores the current credit risk management framework in China, then analyzes its defects which manifest that the partial analysis are many, the overall situation analysis are few; the static state analysis are many, the dynamic analysis are few; the qualitative analysis are many, the quantitative analysis are few, and so on. To be aimed at these issues, this paper analyzes the main causes of the insufficiencies of credit risk management of domestic commercial banks through the study of the internal factors such as institutional system, organizational structure and understanding of the concepts, and the external factors such as financial markers and credit system, and the technical factors infusing the credit risk. Lastly, according to the causes of the insufficiencies of credit risk management and learning from the advanced credit risk management experience of foreign banks, several suggestions are put forward to improve the management of the credit risk of our country's commercial banks, which have a certain application and perceptiveness and also can provide a general reference for the future study and practical work.
