Information Technology (IT) had brought human society to information age. IT improves the productivity effort hugely and changes the people's life. With the development of informatization contraction, the needs of the customers become more complicated. So that IT companies can not meet the customers' needs easily by just providing IT productions like before. Now, services marketing become the key factor of IT companies keeping competitive strength.With the rapid development of China economy, China local IT companies had acquired the great progress in IT productions manufacture. But when facing the global financial crisis, China local IT companies become very difficult because they are in the low end of the whole IT industrial value chain. How to transformation? How to better serve for the customers? How to better improve services competitive strength? Currently, these questions are worthing China local IT companies' thinging seriously.By studying theories and research on services marketing, and combining with the author's work experience with International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), the thesis investigate the tendency of IT industry development, and China local IT industry and main companies current situation, to find the fact that China local IT companies should need to increase their competitive strength by services markering. Then using contrastive analisys, carefully research IBM, one of the IT industrial outstanding companies. The thesis researches the process and experience of IBM services transformation, and analizes the customer management of IBM, and analizes the services innovation of IBM. Then trying to find the worth study point to help China local IT companies to make services transformation to increase their competitive strength. The author hopes sincerely that more and more China local IT companies can become global outstanding companies in the nearly future.
