Rmb Exchange Rate Issue Is The Impact On Sino-us Economic And Trade Relations

Considering about the issue of exchange rate of RMB, two aspects are on the central position. The first aspect is how the changing of exchange rate of RMB influence foreign trade balance on short term, and the second aspect is which exchange rate regime is most suitable for RMB. Based on these two aspects, many other problems are derived from. Especially on the Sino-US financial and trade relationship, the issue of exchange of RMB is the focus of many conflicts.This dissertation focuses on two aspects-exchange rate of RMB and Sino-US trade. After summarizing the history of Sino-US trade relationship, the impact of fluctuation of exchange rate on import and export price has been examined. Then, we studied the exchange rate regime of RMB, and discussed the stability of exchange rate in a period of time.Through analyze, this dissertation derives the conclusions that the fluctuation of exchange rate can exert evident influence on short term. But on long term, we can not observe obvious influence on the trade balance. At the same time, we suppose that stability is the main target of exchange rate regime, so upvaluation is not acceptable.
