The design of today's computer system is very complex. As an important part of the whole system, the server board design involved hardware, software, manufacturing and other fields. This article made reference to numerous homes and abroad, related literature and defined the concept of R&D outsourcing. Build a server motherboard R&D outsourcing risk analysis and control strategy framework from risk control theoretical point of view. Split the whole server motherboard design process into tasks, subtasks and work packages with WBS. Do the risk analysis for each work package developed at different periods to identify important risk factors. Finally, The R&D outsourcing risk control system was worked out based on the product life cycle and responsibility matrix which has practical significance for guiding R&D outsourcing.
