Patent Characteristics Of Economic Growth In Yunnan Province

Economic growth is one of the most important issues which human society concern to,however, the controversy of China's GDP and its growth rate, far beyond the issue of economic development. Rapid technological innovation in the 21st century,a new economic era, patents become an important tool of a national independent innovation and sustainable economic development,with its widely application,patents the impact on economic growth has also been the attention of many scholars.This paper explores the use of patent features data from 1991 to 2007 time series data to explained production price index, establish hedonic regression model, using cross-sectional data hedonic price index method, and quality-adjusted hedonic price index method isolate quality change, construction hedonic index, compared re-estimate the real output and economic growth of Yunnan Province with the official real GDP and other scholars in different ways, and comprehensive evaluation. Conclusions indicate that: the use of two kinds of hedonic price index methods to estimate the real GDP and economic growth of Yunnan Province is higher than that suggested in official statistics, the official GDP has not been overestimated, the economic growth data which after the first economic census with a relatively high credibility.
