Analysis Of The Rmb Internationalization

The currency is an ancient and new topic. It not only has function of value measure, medium and payment etc., but also has function of benefit assignment and redistribution. As different status of currency make various countries have different political and economic interest, so currency issue has been the focus of attention in the world. From the 90s in 20th century, the international economic and financial crisis mainly was currency crisis. International currency or main reserve currency was turmoil, but its domestic financial relatively was stable. In the economic and financial trends, international community not only saw the interest of world currency or reserve currency, but also saw its dominant voice of international status.To a certain extent, introduction of the Euro is discontent and challenge against the U.S. dollar, but an equal footing with the U.S. dollar really isn't easy. However, the pursuit of monetary stability and strong position has become an important goal for any big nation. From the view of the law of monetary development, we know a powerful country, a strong currency. Based on long-term consideration of China's economic and financial development strategy and forward thinking of nation interest of global economic integration. RMB internationalization is further explored and researched on some respects of theory, practice and systematic.As continuous and strong growth of China's economy, more and more people are optimistic about the RMB. And the RMB will be one of hot money in currency material in the future. The RMB internationalization is our inevitable choice, it not only will bring the direct seigniorage revenue, also bring a lot of indirect benefits. However, because our internal conditions and external environment is not perfect, and if blindly promote the RMB internationalization, it not only weakens the income effect, but also brings some risks even catastrophic consequence to our economy and financial system. Except introduction and conclusion, the paper is divided into four parts: the first part concludes international monetary connotation and denotation, and the theoretical basis for internationalization; the second part analyses the feasibility and necessity of the RMB after introducing the degree of internationalization; the third part explains the international situation of the U.S. dollar, Japanese yen and the Euro, thus identify the reference experience for the RMB; the fourth pat points the internationalization of the RMB will be a long-term, passed step by step process that China should take the road, at the same time give some pieces of suggestion for the RMB internationalization.
