| With the ongoing globalization, there are more and more researches about the core competitiveness of nation and enterprise both at home and abroad. This paper, focusing on the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry in border areas of Yunnan, makes an empirical research on jewelry and jade industry in Yunnan from the perspective of economics and creatively puts forward a comprehensive evaluation system for the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry in border areas.The paper first explains the concept, characteristics and components of the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry and analyzes the difference between the core competitiveness of the industry and that of other industries. Then, the essay makes an evaluation and comparative analysis on the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry in border areas. In this part, there is a comparison between the jewelry and jade industry in Yunnan and that in Guangdong, through which to figure out the reasons why jewelry and jade industry in Yunnan lacks core competitiveness. At last, the thesis makes the following two suggestions for developing the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry in Yunnan:1) it is needed to clearly understand the advantages and disadvantages in developing the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry in Yunnan; 2) proper talent strategy, location strategy, market strategy, public-policy planning and market-environment developing are necessary to promote the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry in minority areas.The research on developing the core competitiveness of jewelry and jade industry in Yunnan enriches the theory of industry core competitiveness and provides new cases and data for the empirical study of the theory.And the promotion of the competitiveness of industires and enterpises in boder minority areas has always been the focal point in the research of border areas economy, especially since the implementation of the strategy to develope the Western regions. This research is not only practical for promoting the core competitiveness of industries and enterprises in border minority areas, but also a significant try to explore the effective way for the economic development in border areas. Meanwhile, this research also is with reference value for the local authority in border areas to make development strategy. |
