| When the international financial crisis is behind us, informationization has provided an option of survival and development for the medium and small enterprises to respond to challenges and opportunities in the increasingly competitive environment. Moreover, since the access to WTO, information system has been evolved into a driving force for setting up new business from its traditional supporting role, serving as a platform to build up enterprises'essential competitive edge. Therefore, the planning and construction of management information system is key to explore the international market, especially essential for my company—SICHUAN KELUN BIO-TECH PHARMACEUTICAL CO.,LTD, which is striving to open overseas market. This paper will explore some ways to establish management information system based on enterprises'strategic goals, internal resources and business characteristics as evidenced by the construction of the Ke-lun Company's ERP system in which I actively participated. It will analyze the system's necessity, feasibility, overall planning, major functions and application from perspectives of business modern management and information technology.This paper consists of six chapters. The first chapter will start with brief introduction of Ke-lun Bio-tec Pharmaceutical Company, and analyze the present situation in bio-product business, on which existing challenges in the field will be presented, and the company's management situation will be fully discussed. Then, it is concluded that only by informationization management can the company win competitive edge. The second chapter will review EPR management ideas and development, analyze characteristics of bio-product business, on which necessity and feasibility of the company's establishment of EPR system are in full discussion, and the construction targets are putting forward. The third chapter studies ERP construction mode and technological application in bio-product business, suggesting of ways to choose appropriate ERP construction mode suitable for enterprises'demands. The fourth chapter introduces the major contents of the company's ERP construction and effective ways to practice it. The last chapter discusses essential factors to promote the infomationization of bio-product business into success and the preliminary achievement of the application of ERP system made by the company on which further development plan is proposed.In conclusion, the paper applies enterprise informationization management and ERP theories on enterprises development, and gives full analysis on how to confront challenges for enterprises in the new competitive environment at home and abroad through the establishment of ERP system, based on studies of existing environment for bio-products business development and present management situation of Ke-lun Company. Then, it conducts further discussion on how to successfully put ERP system into practice for Ke-lun Company, which will be of significance for it to address the present management problems, improve the level of informationization management, and promote its competitive powers. Meanwhile, the mentioned above will act as a reference for the application of ERP system in other medium and small enterprises. |
