The research on the market demand of new traditional Chinese drugs is the frontier issues of pharmaceutical economics research field. At present, there are broad prospects for new drug research and a huge market demand for medicine. Due to high input, high-tech, high-risk, cycle length and complicated process and other reasons, the formation of new drugs have high costs and high value-added features. The transactions of new drugs technology amounted to nearly 10 billion yuan every year in China. The assessment studies on market demand for traditional Chinese medicine associated with the great theoretical and practical significance. Assement of the new drug has been discussed sparingly. At present, there are few research about the market value assessment of new drugs. And the main problems are that there is no specialized research about market demand of new drugs, because they often evaluate the market value assessment of new drugs after NDA (new drug application).So they only could be used in the technology transfer phase. Therefore they can not provide basis for the decision making of drug discovery. The problems of current market assessment are that there is no specialized studies for the market demand of the new drug,and most research established the establishment of evaluation system to assess the market demand of the new drug after the IND (Investigational New Drug Application).So this subject established the establishment of evaluation system to assess the market demand of the new drug before the IND (Investigational New Drug Application).Firstly, we determined the research programs, provided the research details and steps of all aspects. Secondly, the papers investigate the influencing factors of the market demand for new traditional Chinese drugs. By gathering the relevant newspapers, journals, books and so on, we grasped the forefront of the projects in order to determine the direction and methods. Thirdly, this paper summarized the 31 factors affecting the market demand with the classification comparison, analysis synthesis method and induction method. Then this paper discussed the methods of selecting the main influencing factors of the market demand for new traditional Chinese drugs,and this paper selected the main influencing factors of the market demand for new traditional Chinese drugs with the expert survey questionnaire and quartile division. The last part of the article focused primarily on the shortcomings of the study and conducted the further research ideas.The major innovation of this article is mainly reflected in the flowing three aspects. Firstly, this paper summarized the 31 factors affecting the market demand in the round. Secondly, this paper selected the main influencing factors of the market demand for new traditional Chinese drugs with the expert survey questionnaire and quartile division creatively. Thirdly, this paper quantized the main influencing factors by dividing them into different levels.It solved the problem of some influencing factors that were difficult to be quantized.
