Along with the development and the rapid internationalization process of the Chinese market economic system, the Chinese companies are facing more challenges than ever before. They need to learn new rules and know how to deal with potential crises in the international competition. Crisis public relations, with its characters of (a) a threat to the organization, (b) the element of surprise, and (c) a short decision time, can make companies to lose profit in a short period. Meanwhile, the changes of the Chinese media environment make the Chinese media intend to act quite different to social event compare with year before. More media prefer to act as mediator or judge in customer complaint cases against a company. Furthermore, the awareness of consumer's rights is growing, and media maintains vigilance for customer's requirement. In all, how to communicate well between company and environment is a key element to build healthy corporate images, to transfer corporate messages effectively and to promote corporate constant development.The paper is focusing on crisis public relations, corporate development and environment. It is trying to signify the importance between crisis public relations and the development of the company. Chapter 1 is exordium, clarifying the background, aim, significance and method of this research. Chapter 2 reviews the related theories and defines the rationale of this paper. Chapter 3 introduces the paper's train of thought and structure. Chapter 4 explains the common characters and crisis of companies in different growth phases according to the corporate life circle theory. The selected cases are described in this chapter too. Chapter 5 analyses the selected cases. Chapter 6 reaches the conclusion and defines the limitations and the future directions of this research.With the adoption of case study, the relationship of crisis management and company development is explored in this paper with a detailed study of the crisis management approaches in different phases of company development. It is concluded that the crisis management and company development are closely related; crisis management can effectively bridge the company with the social environment, and transfer a crisis into opportunity. The crisis management establishment should be standardized in the company construction. The study also indicates that, the individual will of an entrepreneur can have significant effect to the establishment of crisis management. This paper analyzes crisis management in different phases of company development, which will bring deep thinking to the relationship between crisis management and company development.
