Postal Savings Bank of China(PSBC) on December 31,2006,by the State Council, China Banking Regulatory Commission for formal approval.March 6,2007,approved by the Chinese Government, China Postal Savings Bank Co.,Ltd.established by law. PSBC found as a limited liability company, which Symbolizes the beginning of PSBC toward the fully functional commercial bank restructuring-as the fifth largest state-owned commercial banks.From just operating savings, remittances business PSBC has been called only half of the financial institutions to transfer to have its full-featured,modern retail and commercial banking and participate in large state-owned banks, joint stock, foreign banks,local city commercial banks, rural credit cooperatives,rural banks and other financial institutions in the competition.Market positioning theory has been well known by the modern enterprises.The industrial and commercial enterprises, which accurate market positioning precisely can help those sustainably development and promote their competitiveness.It is a core business strategy that enterprises adopt. There are dramatic debates about the market position of commercial banks should take into what standards,methods to success in academia and the banking sector.Because of its historical reasons and the external market environment, at the time that PSBC has been set up.The bank should come across its reforming and developing,it should encounter financial markets'competitive pressure, but also different from other financial institutions with unique. To PSBC the reform process of the present and future development way to commercial banks,postal savings banks should analyze how to locate, what measures should be taken to speed up its reform and development and to ensure successful transformation of PSBC into a modern retail and commercial banking.Thus, by reviewing all China post and postal enterprise in China's development history, researching with community banks, referring postal savings theory and the theory of market orientation theory with commercial banks, development financial institutions, domestic and foreign experience for reference, being retail and retail community bank is more suitable for PSBC's market positioning. Under the law that CBRC formulation,on the basis of the community theory, risk management measure, giving impetus to PSBC transfer into retail banking smoothly. Increase ability of competitiveness of PSBC.
