Hand-foot-and-mouth disease and central nervous system infection is one of the serious complications. There are more than 20 kinds of intestinal viruses that cause HFMD, but EV71 infection with eosinophilia neurological,and cause neurological damage easily. Serious can appear, such as cardiorespiratory failure and endanger the children's lives. Early in 1972 and 1973 Australia happened EV71 infection, most of the ill patients has central nervous system symptoms, and some had the serious respiratory symptoms. In our country, since 1981, this disease appeared in shanghai,and then, spreaded to Beijing, hebei, tianjin, fujian, jilin, shandong province, hubei, xining, Guangdong eg. In recent years, HFMD have been aggravated trend. In 2008, there were 1165 patients, and 126 of them died. But until 2009, there were 10509 severe cases, the death up to reach 255 cases. In 2010, from January to April 11th, the national accumulative total reported cases of HFMD up to 192344 cases,38.26% increase over the same period in 2009. There 2119 serious cases,and 94 deid.The research of HFMD, whether pathogenesis or treatment, Chinese medicine or western medicine is still not quite clear. This article is to study the intrinsic hand-foot-and-mouth disease syndromes feature, discussed the central nervous system of TCM pathogenesis infection.Method:This study is basede on the research that in Beijing, Chinese medicine administration major special project infectious diseases--concurrent hand-foot-and-mouth disease of the central nervous system of the syndrome differentiation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine of infection. The questionnaire unified for concurrent hand-foot-and-mouth disease of the central nervous system of the investigation, infected children collected Beijing ditan hospital seven other house unit met inclusion criteria of concurrent hand-foot-and-mouth disease of the central nervous system of the general conditions of infected patients TCM the four diagnostic information and related laboratory tests.
