Pseudobulbar Palsy In The Eye Acupuncture Therapy For Stroke Clinical Observation

Objective:to assess the clinical curative effect of eye needling therapyon pseudobulbar paralysis after cerebral apoplexy, discusses the mechanism of eye needling treatment of this disease, provide the scientific reason for the clinical application.Methods:60 cases of patients with pseudobulbar paralysis after cerebralapoplexy were Randomly divided into experimental group (30 cases) and control group (30 cases). Both groups took conventional treatment for stroke,swallowing and speech function training,body acupuncture. In addition to this, the experimental group were also treated by the eye needling, took once treatment every day.4 weeks later, took an evaluation and comparision on the the clinical curative effect.Results:1. Compare with the integral of the experimental group before and after the treatment, P<0.05, as well as the control group, the symptom scores of the improved by both of the two kinds of the treatment.2. The treatment group and control group total efficiency are 76.67% and 93.33% respectively, which has significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05), the integral of the experimental group improved more prominent, the curative effect of treatment group was better than control.3. There were two patients who got malnutrition in treatment group, while there were four in control group, and one patients got aspiration pneumonia in control group, the incidence of complicating disease of the treatment group are 6%, while it is 16.67% in control group,which has significant differences after statistics processing.Conclusion:1. The eye needling therapy is an effective treatment on pseudobulbar paralysis after cerebral apoplexy, which can improve the patient's symptoms integrals significantly.2. The incidence of complicating disease can be reduced by the eye needling therapy, there is no obvious adversereaction, this kind of treatment could be operated simply which can improve the patient of swallowing and speech, and other functions, improve the patients's quality of life when cooperating with swallowing and speech rehabilitation training, it worth a further research and extension.
