Objective:T0 Explore the effect of Huang Qi and Ge Gen on bovine retinal capiilayy pericytes under high glucose Methods:Retinas were dissected from eyes of fresh killed bovine and retinal capillary pericytes were separated and cultured. The effect of Huang Qi(1,5,10,20,40,60,12Omg/ml ) and Ge Gen(1,5, 10,20, 40,50mg/ml) on pericytes?proliferetion was evaluated by counting cell numbers and MTT colorimetric assay. Results:There was signifinant difference between Huang 01 and control culturing for 24h( P<0.01). The proliferation was the greatest in Huang Qiof 10mg/ml ;There was sightly differece between Ge Gen (1,5,10mg/ml) And control culturing for 24h, andthere was signifinant different between Ge Gen(20,40,5Omg/ml)and control (P<0.01). Conclusion:Huang 01 can increase the proliferation of retinal capillary pericytes; Ge Genof low concentration can not increase and inhibit the proliferation of pericytes and high density can inhibit the proliferation of pericytes.This suggest the actions of You Tang Ming granule in protecting pericytes are caused by interactions of many ways and links.
