Tongue inspection is a characteristic way to diagnose the diseases in diagnostics of Tradition Chinese Medicine. Tongue of hemostasis (HT), ~vhich is a significant tongue manifestation, to diagnose the hemostasis syndrome, including different kinds of color of tongue, different diseases of tongue and different shapes of tongue. Recent research on HT is not systematic, so we try to study it in multi-way, multi-aspect and multilayer.The study includes four parts, that is the collection and content on medical literature relating to HT, clinical study about symptoms and signs of I-IT, clinical experimental research of HT and foundation of computerized mathematical model for diagnosis of HT.The history of the development of HT is very long from the origination to now. Its original literature is showed up in the book of Synposis of the Golden Cab inbet, and its golden period is Ming and Qing dynasty. Recent research on HT lies in the following aspects:hemorrheology, superstructure etc..Here clinical observation, we study the company symptoms and signs of HT, including the formation and hypoglossal vessels. It showed that itsforlnation is related to t11e age and diseases, the older the age is, the moreopportullity it happens. And it is easy to show up in cepha1ocardiovas-opathy, cancer and chro11ic gastrol1epatopathy.The fOrmation of blood stasis owes to the result of n1ulti-factor. Wethink that the formation of HT results from imbalance of n1uIti-factor. \Vestudy multi-index for clinical experimental research incIuding fOur partsas follows.'l. CIillical hemorrl1eoIogical aspect: T1e clinical hemorrheology wasobserved by blood viscometer. The result showed that the plas1naviscometer, reduction viscometef, erythrocyte sinking rate, hematocrit,the number of keppa, total score of HT are significantly higher than thatof normal contro1, besides the plasma viscometer of HT is significantlyhigher than that of tongue of non-hemostasis (NHT). It indicated that HTreflects the high thickness, tenacity and aggregation of bIood. Moreover,the plasma viscometef, the number of keppa of the tongue of non-hemostasis significantly is higher than that of normal col1troIs. lt showedthat the cephalocardiovasopathy is to form the hemostasis syndrome. Wedivided the HT into two parts f one is tongue with ecchyl11oses andpetechiae (EPT), the other is purple tongue without ecchymoses andpetecl1iae (PT). The result showed that plasma viscometer of EPT issignificantly higher than that of NHT and normal controls, while PT not.It indicated that the EPT is the most serious of hemostasis manifestationamong other groups.2. Endocrine function of endovasocyte: The plasma endothelin(ET) and nitric oxide (NO) were determined by radioimmunoassay and.enzyme immunoassay method. The result showed that ET and the ratio ofET and NO of tongue of hemostasis are significantly higher than that ofNHT and normal controls. NO of HT is significantly lower than that ofother groups. We divided the HT into two groups, i.e. EPT and PT. Theresult showed that the ratio of ET and NO of EPT is highest among othergroups. It indicated that the imbalance of ET and NO is the basis of theformation of tongue of hemostasis.3. Endocrine aspectt Endocrinic disorders play an importantrole in the pathological mechanism of HT. TXB, and 6-keto-PGF. .ofserum is determined by radioimmLlnassary method. The result indicatedthat the serum TXB2 level and the ratio of TXB, and 6-keto-PGF, o of HTare significantly higher than that of NHT and normal controls. There wasno obvious dit1brence in the serum 6-keto-PGF, u level among them. Theseruln TXB, level and the ratio of TXB, and 6-kcto-PGF,.of EPT isobviously higher than that of PT.4. Free Radical Respects: Free radical was detected incIudi11g thefOl1owing three indexes: lipid peroxidates(LPO), superoxide dismut-ase(SOD) and glutathion peroxidase(GSH-Px).
