| [Objective] To study the impact of Huo-Xue-Shen-Sht-Fang (HXSSF) on liver fibrosis and its possible mechanism in the way of treatment of hepatic fibrosis.[Methodsj Rat's model of hepatic fibrosis was prepared by carbon tetrachloride (Cd4). After the hepatic fibrosis model has been made, the rats were divided randomly into 4 groups and treated with HXSSF, interferon- γ(IFN-γ ), Bie-Jia-Ruan-Gan-Tablet and Saline, respectively. The effects were observed by serum and histopathologv examination assaying the index of liver function and the serum HA index after 3-month-treatment. The expressions of type I and type HI collagen of hepatic tissue were detected by Picric Sirius red Staining, meanwhile, the immunohistochemistrv assay was used to detect the expression of cvtokines PDGF-BB, TGF-β.
