Applied and imaging anatomy study on the operation of nasolacrimal duct via endoscopy Graduate LIU Yuxin Tutor LIU Fengchun JV Jianbao English AbstractPurpose Meeting to the needs for the clinical operation,we had the research on the applied anatomy, imaging anatomy and sectional anatomy about nasolacrimal canal operation via nasal under endoscope. After that, we want to have a quick, secure and easier operation margin and sum the adaption to it so that we provide the reliable anatomy data and means for the diagnosis and endoscopic operation on the disease of nasolacrimal canal. we have done this work so as to successfully carrying out of this operation and inducing the complications.Material and Methods ① Apllied anatomy study:28 adult cadaver deads were selected randomized(male 20, female 8), we cut these heads along the line of the middle axial and brain tissue were remmoved.The course of nasolacrimal canal, the location and shape of the canal inferier ostium, the adjacent relation between the canal and other nasal related structure were studied : the length, the upper ostiums diameter, the canal diameter and inner wall thickness located in the canal middle portion, the diameter and inner wall thickness of the inferior ostium, the angle of elevation, the distance between the front margin of the inferior ostium and the front adjacent portion of the inferior turbinate, the distance between the front margin of the inferior ostium and the front nasal spine, the distance between the front margin of maxillarysinus ostium and the posterior margin of the canal.The overall recorded data was treated statistically by the SPSS microsoft.② THe study of sectional and CT imaging anatomy:Some adult cadaver deads were scanned via CT with OM axial plane and the special coronal plane which is located between the outstanding portion of the frontal tuber and the front nasal spine that is anteversion by 9°. The thickness of every scanning section is 2mm. The length of nasolacrimal cannal was measured and the scanned sectional layer of the cannal was studied.Result The length of nasolacrimal cannal is 15.99mm on average(male 16.73mm, female 14.16mm) . The diameter of the cannal's upper ostium is 2.97mm(male 3.09mm, female 2.67mm).The diameter of the middle portion along the cannal is 4.20mm(male 4.34mm,female 3.81mm).The diameter of the cannal's ostium is 2.87mm.The thickness of the cannal's upper ostium inner wall is 0.73mm.The thickness of inner wall located in the cannal middle portion is 0.55mm.The distance between the cannal's inferior ostium and the front nasal spine is 21.97mm.The distance between the cannal's inferior ostium and the front adjacent portion of the inferior turbinate is 10.54mm.The distance between the front margin of maxillary sinus ostium and the posterior wall of the cannal is 3.82mm.The angle between the cannal's long axial and the line from the frontal tuber to the front nasal spine is 8.74°±1.39°(5.5°~13°).According to this line, the nasolacrimal cannal was scanned via CT as the coronal position .The entire length appears No.3-4 sectional layer in most cases.
