Back Acupoints Needling Depth & Clinical Application

In order to research the safety depth of acupoints on back, investigate clinical applying of acupoints on back and treating-regulars, we carried out this research.The research includes four terms as follows:1 Research the records of ancient acupuncture books and Science 01" Acupunciion and Moxibustion, Science of Acupoints of past editions about the needling depth of acupoints on back.2 Research the deepest needling depth of acupoints on back by measuring corpses.3 Contrast the measured result to the records of ancient documents and teaching materials of past editions.4 Research the clinical applying of acupoints on back.By researching, we draw some conclusions as follows:1 There is basically no change on the records of ancient acupuncture books. With the publishing time elapsing, parts of needling depth of acupoints on back tend to deepen.2 The research of measuring corpses shows: on Du meridian, the average depth of DaZhui TaoDao LingTak ZhiYang and JinSuo is deeper; the average depth of ShenZhu ShenDao ZhongShu and JiZhong is smaller; On PangGuang meridian, the depth of acupoints on back of No 1 lateral line is deeper than that of No 2 lateral line. Acupoints on waist of both No 1 lateral line and No 2 lateral line are deeper than that on the section of thoracic vertebra. On the section of thoracicvertebra, the needling depth of acupoints on back which lie on the upper and lower position is deeper, the needling depth of the others which lie on the middle nnsition is .shallowerposition is shallower.position is shallower.3 The needling depth of measured corpses are deeper than the records of ancient documents and teaching materials of past editions.4 Acupoints on back can be applied with different kinds of therapy in treating many kinds of diseases and make satisfying curative effect.
