In this study, we observed the therapeutic effects of acupuncture method of reinforcing the myasthenia of the lateral maradian of the limbs and reducing the myospasm of the medial side of the limbs in the patients of hemiplegia due to brain apoplexy. MAS. Brunnstrom S .and Barthel S were employed respectively in assessment of muscle spast city, motion function and ADL before and after the treatment in all patients. The results were showed as follows:1.After two courses of treatment, of 25 cases in upper limb treated ,10 cases were cured(40?o). 4 ca.,es were marked effective(16%), 7 cases were improved (28%). and 4 cases were ineffect:vei 16%); of 26 cases in Irwer limb treated, 12 casts were cured(46,i, C cases were markedly effective, 5 cases were improved (19%) and 3 cases were ineffective. The muscle spasticity was improved significantly in comprison with pre-treatmem (p<0 05).2.After treatment .the motion function of the limb was improved more than those of pre-treatment (5).3.After treatment .the Barthe! S wrere higher than those of pre-treatment (PO.05).Conclusion: this t:udy shows that acupuncture method of reinforcing the myasthenia and reducing the myospasm has obvious action in releaving spasticity, promoting the dissociatior, movement, improving the motion function and ADL of apoplectic hemiplegia patients,...
