Aristolochia mollissima Hance belongs to Aristolochia plant of Aristolochiace-ae.The medicinal part of it is the aerial part.lt is a folk traditional Chinese medicine that can expel wind-dampness to unblock meridians and relieve pains in the joints ,stomach and abdomen.People often use it to relieve pains hi the teeth and in the stomach in Suizhou city of Huibei province.The chemical components of it contain ari-stolochic acid , alkaloid, volative oils and flavonoids.Internal and external scholars have made many researches on aristolchic acid and volatile oils,but the researches on alkaloid are very little.Aristolochic acid is toxic for kidney and liver, especially for kdney. Since 1981,Ministry of Public Health have terminated all the preparation c-ontained aristolochic acid in West German.On the basis of it,the studies on pharmacology, the extraction procedure of totle alkaloid and pharmacognosy were carried out respectively.Study on pharmacology:The totle alkaloid, aristolochic acid , volatile oils and flavonoids were extracted to do the study of pharmacology respectively.The analgesic trial with the method of mouse whist and hot plate and the anti-inflammatory trial with the method of dimethybenze induced auricle swelling in mice indicated that the main effective component was totle alkaloid.Extraction procedurerUsing dry extract content and totle alkaloid as determination target,the optimum extraction procedure was studied by orthogonal test.The reasonable and available process condition was establishedrultrasonic extracting it with 1.5%HAc for 2 times(10 times water-adding amount and Ih of ultrasonic tune for the first time,8 times water-adding amount and 0.5h of ultrasonic time for the second tim-e),filtering it, adding NH4OH to it in order to get the solution whose PH value is 9, then extracting it by CHCLs.The different methods of extracting and totle alkaloid content in A.mollissima Hance of five areas of Hubei province have also been researched. Study on- pharmacognosy: A.mollissima Hance of five areas in Hubei provinc-e were identified from the description % the transection of stem and leaf.In this project,valuable results were obtained.The result indicates that:The extraction procedure of A.mollissima Hance is reasonable and the quality is steady.lt is a preferable analgesic and anti-inflammatory herb.
