The study on chemical constituents of Mongolian medicine is the basic research in developing resources and carrying out researches of Mongolian medicine and in realizing modernization of Mongolian medicine. In this paper ,the general situation of Mongolian medicine and chemical components of herbal medicine--- especially of alkaloid-- are summarized. Three representative Mongolian medicine--- Piperis Longi ,Sambucus Williamsii Hance and Rhaponticum Uniflorum---are selected as subjects. Using the experience for reference in alkaloid researches on Chinese traditional medicine, this paper ascertains the best conditions for content menstruation and determines the contents of the three representative Mongolian medicine. Besides, in this paper, the study on its in vitro antioxygen of alkaloid is first carried out. By adopting silica gel chromatographic columnSeparation, much work is done on the extraction and isolation of the three Mongolian medicine alkaloid ,which receives a pleasant result. The result shows that Piperis Longi ,Sambucus Williamsii Hance and Rhaponticum Uniflorum all contain some amount of alkaloid, which can get rid of -OH,O2-å’ŒH2O2. Piperine is extracted and isolated from Piperis Longi..The study on alkaloid in Mongolian medicine Piperis Longi,Sambucus Williamsii Hance and Rhaponticum Uniflorum provides a basis for its further pharmacological researches and enriches the study on chemical components of the three Mongolian medicine. Also it provides a good example for the study on alkaloid and other components in Mongolian medicine and supplies a basic data for exploiting new medicines.
