The levels of HbA1c and serum lipid were tested both before and 8 weeks after starting the treatment to evaluate the efficacy of Co. geli capsule. The difference of the reductions of clinical symptoms, blood glucose, HbAic and serum lipid between the two groups before-and-after treatment were compared. Results: The results showed that Co. geli capsule could remarkably improve clinical symptoms and could obviously reduce the level of blood glucose, HbA1c, and cholesterol, which showed no statistical significance compared with control group. Conclusion: Co. geli capsule is a effective Chinese medicine in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus diagnosed deficiency of Yin and excessive heat syndrome.
