The thesis on acute myocardial infarction (AMI) includes the literature reviews and the clinical trial. There are three literature reviews in the first part. The first review is about the main viewpoints of traditional Chinese medicine on AMI, including the pathogenesis, principles and treatments. The second part deals with the Western Medicine's achievements and development on the AMI study. It explains in details the usage of thromblytic therapy and percutaneous intervention, on which more researches have been done in recent years. At last, the cognition on QT dispersion at present will be introduced, mainly about the clinical significance, influencing factors and the Chinese herb's action. The clinical trial is about the Chinese herb's interference to patients' QT dispersion and an influence to AMI in the near future. There are 59 cases according to the diagnosis standard. They are divided into two groups based on the treatment with Shengmai injection or not. The accompanied syndromes happened in the treatment group are lower than the control group, 77.1% vs. 81.8%, but it didn't decrease the mortality. Although the QT dispersion did drop in the treatment group, the change has no statistical significance (P>0.05). There is statistic significance of QT dispersion (P=0.010) in dead group and existent group, indicating that the QT dispersion may judge the prognosis in a way. That is also a way to judge the recirculation (P=0.048).
