Hyperuncemia describes a number of disorders in which crystas of monosodium urate monohytate derived from hyperuricemic body fluid give rise to inflammatory arthritis, tenosynovitis ,bursitis,or cellulitis tophaceous deposits, urolithiasis, and renal disease. As the increase of living standard and the change of diet structure, the incidence rates of hyperuricemic have been increasing in our country.Uricosuric agents and Xanthine oxidase inhibitor can be very effective in lowing the uric acid level, but the incidence of side-effect must be considered. So TCM method will be a new way in prevention and cure of hyperuricemia and renal impairment. Hyperricemia doesn't exist in Traditional Chinese Medicine term. It belongs to the categories of damp-heat, damp-toxic, Lijiefeng, gout. The renal impairment caused by hyperuncemia belongs to the categories of Guange, Shenlao, Nidu. Herb valuable to lower the serum uric acid level in clinic treatment and promote the development of new drug.A systematic retrospective was made upon the studies of hyperuricemic of modern medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, and the progress study of cichory Basing on it. we observed the effects of Gu Ben Hua Tan decoction(GBHT) extracts on mouse hyperuricelnic models.ObjectiveTo explore the etiological factor and effect of replenishing kidney-essence, remove phlegm therapy on treating Hyperuricemia (HUA) in theory. And to observing the effects of GBHT and analyzing the mechanism of action of GBHT for HUA. Methods40 mouses were randomly divided into normal group, model group, Allopurinol treated group and herb group, Initially succeeded in establishing the animal model of experimental hyperuricemia .After treating for four weeks, we discussed the mechanism from different enzyme which play important roles in the produce of UA , Cr , BUN , X0, GD and ADA. Results1 The marks of the UA concerned on HUA model of was higher than the other groups . The remarkably decreased rates of the medicine groups(p<0.01). there were significant differences between the herb group of GBHT and Allopurinol treated group (p<0.01).And the Allopurinol treated group was superior to the group of GBHT2 The activity of BUN was higher in HUA model rats than that of normal rats obviously (p<0.01). The remarkably improved rates of the medicine groups(p<0.01). There were not significant differences between the group of GBHT and the normal group ( P > 0.05) .And the activity of Cr has the identical current in each group.the differences is not attach the level of normal group(p<0.01).3 The marks of the XO concerned on HUA model of was lower than the other groups . The remarkably increased rates of the medicine groups(p<0.01). But the group of GBHT was superior to the Allopurinol treated group(p<0.01).3 To the normal rats, the decrease of GD in model group and the Allopurinol treated group(p<0.01) .the GBHT group had highly remarkable differences (P<0.01) and attached the normal level. To the ADA , the decrease of GD in model group too. The remarkably increased rates of the medicine groups. But the group of GBHT(p<0.01) was superior to the Allopurinol treated group(p<0.05).ConclusionKidney-essence weak, phlegm and blood stasis is the basic etiological factor for HUA,and replenishing kidney-essence, removing phlegm and promoting blood circulation therapy is operative on treating HUA. GBHT can lower the level of uric acid, GBHT can improve the renal function of experimental rat, the level of Cr and BUN is quite near to the normal group. GBHT can repair the pathological impairment of kidney. The cause is possibility GBHT can low the The activity of XO and improuve the GD and ADA level.
