Flavored Xuanfeitoujie The Efficacy Of Particle Treatment Of Viral Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

Upper respiratory tract infection(URTI), which belonged to the Wai Gan Re Zheng, is a familiar infectious disease in respiratory system. 90-95% of them are caused by virus, and few of them are caused by bacterium. Based on the clinical experiences of the tutor Pro. Shi Liqin and the study of literatures of western medicine and Chinese ancient medicine, the clinical study of treating the URTI caused by virus by Chinese traditional medicine dissertated a viewpoint. And it is that the central treating mechanism is to adjust the immune system, especially to adjust some cytokine. Therefore it opened out part of the pathogenesis and the herb' s treating target point.This dissertation contains tow parts: the summary of literatures and the clinical study.The summary of literatures summarized the study and understanding of URTI by ancient Chinese traditional doctors, and the conclusion of the clinical study by herbalist doctor and Western medicine in recent years.The clinical study recorded the observation of outpatient and the study conclusion. 100 URTI cases are selected and randomly divided into two groups.The treating group is given the Jia Wei Xuan Fei Tou Jie Ke Li, while the control group is given the QUIKE. Three days make up a treating period . The result shows that the effective rate of the treating group is 88 %, the average time of heat begins to fall is 3.54 hours and the average time of heat return to normal is 22.05 hours. The conclusion discussed the treating mechanism of the Jia Wei Xuan Fei Tou Jie Ke Li in the category of Chinese traditional medicine and the action of adjusting the immune system.In the discussion part, the theoretic mechanism of this method' s effects in TCM are analyzed, and the experience of Pro. Jiang' s prescription and the effects of the herbs prescribed under the guidance of the method of Xuan Fei Tou Jie are discussed. Furthermore, the suitable symptoms for this method are pointed out.This study indicates that the Jia Wei Xuan Fei Tou Jie Ke Li has good curative effect. It restains the inflammatory response and damage by adjusting the cytokine composing. Therefore it can alleviate the disease and accelerate recovery. It has the superiority over the western madicine in acting quickly, effectting stably, leaving symptom singularly.
