Objective to investagive the risk factors of ectopic pregnancy and reveal the cause of the increasing incidence.Methods 432 patients with ectopic pregnancy in our hospital from 2002 to 2004 were collected,The information collected for every patient included sociodemographic characteristics; gynecologic,obstetric,and abdominal surgical history;prior induced abortion ; genital infectious history ; history of ectopic pregnancy ;contractive history (including oral contraceptive , intrauterine device and emergency contraception )and history of assisted reproductive technology are analysised and compared.Results the incidence of ectopic pregnancy varied from 79.8 per 1000 pregnancies in 2002 to 70 per 1000 pregnancies in 2004 , the total incidence of EP is 83.3 per 1000 pregnancies.the relative ratio of risk factors in EP was genital infectious history 73.38%,induced abortion 67.13%,delivery history 40.05% , abdominal surgical history 22.22%, prior use of intrauterine device 16.44%, ectopic pregnancy 10.42%, IVF-ET 2.31% and emergency contraception 1.39%. No excess risk of ectopic pregnancy was associated with multiple previous induced abortions compared with one previous induced abortion (P>0.05) .Conclusion The risk factors that have a possible correlation with ectopic prgnancy,such as history of pelvic inflammatory disease, prior induced abortion,priortubal surgical, previouse ectopic pregnancy, previous use of an interuterine device, Caesarean section history, IVF-ET, emergency contraception, et al.
