Studies On Chemical Constituents Of Coriaria Sinica Maxim And Ma Sangzhong Study On Biological Activity Of Flavonoids

Coriaria Sinica Maxim is a bush of Coriaria L.. Its roots , branches and leaves areall poisonous. People will be toxic if eat more. Coriaria Sinica Maxim has long beenknown as a medicine to treat several kinds of disease, such as eczema , trauma ,headache and cancer. It has also known as a pesticide by local people.Its chemicalcomponents of this medicine were studied here.the alcoholic extraction of its brancheswas extracted respectively by chloroform and water.The portion of chloroform wascondensed to ointment by reduction pressure then the ointment was analysised bysilica chromatogram.Eight compounds were achieved namely twenty-three carboncarboxylic acid(compd.l) , twenty-seven carbon carboxylic acid (compd.2)twenty-nine carbon carboxylic acid (compd.3) , thirty-one carbon carboxylic acid(compd.4) , ester of fifty-five carbon(compd.5) , ethyl ester of twenty-sevencarbon(compd.6) , stigmasterol(compd.7) and β-sitosterol(compd.8).In the portion ofwater ellagic acid(compd.13) was achieved.The alcoholic extraction of its leaves wasextracted respectively by n-butanol , ethyl acetate , chloroform and water.In theportion of chloroform β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucoside(compd.9) , ursolicacid(compd.12)and thirty-two alkane(compd.14) were achieved .In the portion ofethyl acetate quercetin-3-O-α-L-arabinoside(compd.10) And kaempferol-3-O-α-L-arabinoside(compd.11) were achieved.In short in the fourteen compounds wereextracted and analyzed by IR, MS and NMR.All the compounds were firstly extractedfrom Coriarin Sinica Maxim except for compd.8, compd.9, compd.ll and compd.12.HITACHI 835—50 Amino Acid Analyzer and atomic absorption photometryassay were used To determine the amino acids and trace elements in the extract ofCoriaria sinica Maxim.The extract of Coriaria sinica Maxim contains 18 kinds ofamino acids and 6 kinds of important trace elements. Glutamic acid and Calaium arethe most in Coriaria sinica Maxim. To study on the chemical components of thevolatile oils of Coriaria sinica Maxim. The volatile oils were obtained by steamdistillation , and the chemical components were analyzed by GC -MS. There are 20and 26 kinds of compounds in the volatile oils of leaf and stems of the plant.Flavonoid compound widely exists in the world. It is a very important natural organic compound with all kinds of biological activities .Many studies show flavonoid compound can resist inflammation virus> disease germ^ hepatitis virus.Tt also has been known as a medicine to treat cancer and angiocardiopathy,etc.The most important of all is its antioxidationTo study on the biologic activities of the 6 flovonoid glycosides from the leaves of Coriaria Sinica Maxim ,anti-oxidation of the flovonids were studied by 2,2'-azobis(l-amidinoporpane)dihydrochloride(AAPH)and immunocompetence of the flovomds can be indicated by the method of MTT.The flavones have the biological activities on anti-oxdation and immunity.
