The colonic cancer is a common tumor in China, the traditional diagnosis of which is to pathologically examine the slices of the diseased tissues secured under the visual examination of the colonic. However, it is most likely to involve failed diagnosis or delayed treatment as it is extremely difficult to discover those tiny or flat cancerous tissues or precancerous pathological changes. Therefore, there is a clinically urgent need for a new-type diagnosis equipment and diagnosis method in order to raise the diagnosis accuracy at an earlier stage of colonic cancer. Meanwhile, this new-type diagnosis equipment will bring about great social and economic benefits. It is known that the physical and chemical characteristics in tissues will all undergo great changes when their biological tissues have cancerous changes, thus there exist differences between the spectrums of self-fluorescence of the normal tissues and the cancerous tissues. In this study, using laser to induce the intestines to produce self-fluorescence, the separate testing of on-body and off-body were detected in the normal and cancer tissues. The particular characteristics of the self-fluorescence spectrums of the colonicl cancer was got, which provided marker for the diagnosis of the colonic cancer. In this study, the Q-adjusting titanium laser with an adjustment range from 680nm to 1060nm and with alternative frequencies and two wave bands, was constructed. It can be used as a stimulating light source for the self-fluorescent diagnosing system for the colonic cancer at an earlier stage and can also be used for the early diagnosing experiments. The Results showed that: (1) in the off-body testing, the strength of the fluorescent spectrum of the cancerous tissues is higher than that of normal tissues. (2) There exist characteristic peaks near 620nm of the fluorescent spectrum of the cancerous tissues. (3) In the on-body testing, the strengthof the fluorescent spectrum of normal tissues is higher than that of the cancerous tissues. (4) The strength of the fluorescent spectrum of off-body tissues is higher than that of on-body tissues. It showed Q-adjusting titanium laser was also an ideal stimulating light source for self-fluorescent diagnosing of colonic tumors at an earlier stage.
