Objective:To investigate the percentage of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ Regulatory T Cells of the patients with alopecia areata. Methods: Three-color flow cytometric analysis to meature the subpopulation of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ Regulatory T Cells andCD4+/CD8+ T lympphocytes from 26 Alopecia areata patients and 14 normal persons. Results : The percentage of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ Regulatory T Cells represent CD4+ T lymphocytes of the patients with alopecia areata were lower than normal, the percentage of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ Regulatory T Cells of the patients with severe alopecia areata were lower than normal and the local alopecia areata patient, There were no significant difference of the percentage of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+ Regulatory T Cells between the local alopecia areata patients with normal . The percentage of peripheral blood CD4+/CD8+ T lympphocytes of the patients with alopecia areata were lower than normal, the percentage of peripheral blood CD4+/CD8+ T lympphocytes of the patients with severe alopecia areata were lower than normal and the localalopecia areata patient, and There were no significant difference of the percentage of peripheral blood CD4+/CD8+ T lympphocytes between the local alopecia areata patients with normal .Conclution:The decrease of CD4+CD25+ Regulatory T Cells and CD4+/CD8+ T lymphocytes of the patients with alopecia areata are probably closely related to disease extent.
