ObjectiveChronic myelocytic leukemia (CML) is a maligant disorder in hematopoietic stem cell, marked with bcr/abl fusion gene. The BCR/ABL P210 fusion protein have augmented tyrosine kinase activity ,which can mediate signal transduction and interfere cellular proliferation. The therapeutic goal is molecular remission.During the past years, a-interferon( IFN-a) combined with chemotherapeutics have greatly improved the prognosis of CML. The insight into the molecular pathology of CML gave rise to a new method which aimed at the bcr/abl fusion gene and the P210 fusion protein.Imatinib (Gleevec,Glivec, formerly STI571),which selectively inhibited the proliferation of cells expressing P210 is a specific tyrosine kinase. In preclinical studies , the remarkable results of Gleevec in clinical trials have led to a revolution in CML therapy. This experiment estimate the present main therapy of CML through monitoring Ph chromosome and bcr/abl fusion gene. MethodsThe subjects were seventy-three patients with CML, who include forty-eight males and twenty-five females, and who had been admitted to Qilu hospital and accorded with diagnosis criterion publicized. The midia age is thiety-eight, course of disease zero-fifteen yesrs,(2.3±0.5) years in average.Fifty-five of them were treated with interferon alpha and hydroxyurea(Hu),eight of them with imatinib (Gleevec),ten patients who were failed with interferon alpha and hydroxyurea used Gleevec too. Take two to five milliunit bone marrow into a cuvette which has anticoagulant, then...
