Lumbar Disc Herniation With Lateral Recess Stenosis In The Pathogenesis, Diagnosis And Treatment Discussed

This dissertation reviews the relative documents about treatment of TCM and Western medicine of lumbar disc herniation complicated with lateral recess stenosis syndrome,evaluates objectively the theoretical knowledge of Chinese and western medicine about this disease . This review fully dicussess pathogenesis,questions,diagnosis and treatment of this diseaes.Sieves patients with lumbar disc herniation complicated with lateral recess stenosis syndrome inside orthopedics of Sichuan province hospital traditional Chinese medicine in the recent years to be research object divided into the non-operation treatment and operation according to treatment method. Result: The result non-operation treatment total 35, excellent 14,have 40%; good 12, have 34.3%; fair 6, have 17.1%; poor 3, have 8.6%; The excellent-good rate were 74.3%. The result operation treatment total 40, excellent 19, have 47.5%; good 13 have 32.5%; fair 6, have 15%; poor 2, have 5%; The excellent-good rate were 80%. The good therapeutic effect of either non-operation or operation for patients with lumbar disc herniation complicated with lateral recess stenosis syndrome was similar after a short-term follow up if the indication was chosen properly.
