Analysis Of Factors Affecting The Prognosis Of Stroke

Objective: To investigate the relationships among clinical outcome of stroke and predictors including sociology, clinical characteristic, laboratory examination and image analysis.Methods: Totally 114 cases of acute stroke, who were admitted in the department of Neurology, the 2^nd affiliated hospital of Chongqing University of medical sciences during January 2005 to November 2005, were consecutively recorded from admission to 6 months after hospitalization.Logistic regression model was used to estimate the relationships among clinical outcome of stroke and predictors including sociology, clinical characteristic, laboratory and image examinations.Results:103 cases were included. The patients who had a SBP more than 180 mmHg on admission, a post history of diabetes or atrial fibrilation, hypokalemia,or consecutive fever would have a worse prognosis.Conclusions: Higher SBP, history of diabetes or atrial fibrilation, hypokalemia,or consecutive fever would influcence the prognosis of stroke.
