Objective: To investigate the relationships among clinical outcome of stroke and predictors including sociology, clinical characteristic, laboratory examination and image analysis. Methods: Totally 114 cases of acute stroke, who were admitted in the department of Neurology, the 2nd affiliated hospital of Chongqing University of medical sciences during January 2005 to November 2005, were consecutively recorded from admission to 6 months after hospitalization.Logistic regression model was used to estimate the relationships among clinical outcome of stroke and predictors including sociology, clinical characteristic, laboratory and image examinations.Results:103 cases were included. The patients who had a SBP more than 180 mmHg on admission, a post history of diabetes or atrial fibrilation, hypokalemia,or consecutive fever would have a worse prognosis. Conclusions: Higher SBP, history of diabetes or atrial fibrilation, hypokalemia,or consecutive fever would influcence the prognosis of stroke.
