Xie Xin Tang Xiaoyaosan Formula Granule Quality Control Methods

Xiexintang, which originates from compiled by Zhang Zhongjing, is composed of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Rhizoma Coptidis, Radix Scutellariae and has the effect of clearing away heat and eliminating pathogenic fire, removing dampness and detoxication. Xiaoyaosan originates from , powder and honey pill are composed of Radix Bupleuri, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Poria, processed Radix Glycyrrhizae, Herba Menthae, and has the effect of dispersing the stagnated liver-Qi, nourishing blood and regulating menstruation. The purpose of the study is to inquire into the reasonability of Xiexintang and Xiaoyaosan dispensing granules.The paper has study the method of quality assessment of Xiexintang dispensing granules. TLC is used in qualitative identification of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, Radix Scutellariae and Rhizoma Coptidis. Then the 3D-HPLC figureprints spectrum of Xiexintang dispensing granules is established, 30 common peaks are indicated and classified.To study the difference in main chemical composition and content between Xiexintang dispensing granules and standard decoction the 3D-HPLC spectrum is drawn. The result indicates that the difference between Xiexintang dispensing granules and standard decoction is obvious, the peaks area of main compositions of Rhizoma Rhei and Rhizoma Coptidis in Xiexintang dispensing granules is larger then standard decoction, the former is rational.Besides, the content of Berberine Hydrochloride, Baicalin, Rhein and Emodin are determined at the same time using the same method as fingerprint spectrum. The method is simple and the result is reliable.
