Cephalosporins - Cephradine Synthetic Research

The synthetic process of cephalosporins Cefradine was studied in this paper.The development of antibiotics agents and β -lactam antibiotics were briefly described in this paper, both the development of cephalosporins and the characteristics of Cefradine were introduced. The synthesis of Cefradine was studied particularly. The synthetic route was definited and modified. With7-Amino-3-deacetoxylcephalosporanic acid andD-2-(l,4-hexadienyl)glycine Dane salt as the starting materials, it had been preprared in a five-steps procedure in overall yield of 88.4% (mass yield: 152%). The process were improved to serve the industrial production. The quality of target compoud was coincidence with CP(2000).The structure of Cefradine was confirmed by IR, UV, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, MS.
