This thesis includes there parts: In the first part, the pharmacognosy identification, botanic origins, chemical constituents,pharmacological action and clinical treatment of A. fragrans Champ have been summaried,and the paper has reviewed the recent application of fingerpoint chromatogram and the pharmacological progress of coffeoylquinic acid. The second part can be divided into seven aspects:1. The chemical constituents of A. fragrans Champ have been researched. By means of MPLC,five coffeoylquinic acids have been obtained, they are 5-O-coffeoylquinic acid, 3-O-coffeoylquinic acid, 3,4-O-dicoffeoylquinic acid, 3,5-O-dicoffeoylquinic acid and 4,5-O-dicoffeoylquinic acid . besides, 5-O-coffeoylquinic acid and 3,4-O-dicoffeoylquinic acid are isolated from Ainsliaea for the first time.2. The preparative technics of effective fractions have been researched.with the amount of the total phenolic acids as the evalutation index, four kinds of methods were examined. Viaing absorption by macroporous resin and then refluxed with acetal , the amount of the total phenolic acids effective fractions can attain 80%.3. The method of determining the total phenolic acids has been established. The contents of the tatal phenolic acids in the effective fracions were determined by UV spectrophotometer and using 3-O-caffeoylquinic acid as standard.4. An HPLC method was established to determine the contents of A insliaea fragrans Champ, 3-O-coffeoylquinic acid and 3,5-O-dicoffeoylquinic acid in A insliaea fragrans Champ.5. The fingerprint of A insliaea fragrans Champ has been studied by HPLC. In order to control the quality, two kinds of fingerprints were established. Under the selected chromatographic conditions,Satisfactory separation of 11 main constituents in A insliaea fragrans Champ by HPLC was obtained.6. A LC-MS/MS method with gradient elution was studied to analysis chemical constitutes in A insliaea fragrans Champ extraction. Fourteen peaks with different molecular weight were determined. In terms of analysis of five known coffeoylquinic acids fragments, the capable mechanisms of fragmentation were obtained and the possible structures of other peaks were presumed basing on the former mechanisms. 7. A method for detecting benzene series residues from macroreticular resin in radix A insliaea fragrans Champ extraction was established by Headspace GC. The tird part: the summary of the former researches was made.
