Constitution is an important representation of human being, is the particularity of the different colony and individual in configuration, physiological function, psychology aspects. And the particularity decides the susceptibility and the orientation of the illness. The difference of the constitution is determined by factors of the ancestor and the day after tomorrow. The commonness of the constitution is relative, and the otherness is absolute.Individual discrepancy is the core and difficulty of self-cognition, and people have paid a lot of attention to this question. Wang qi professor divides the human constitution into nine basic groups, the specific endowment constitution is one of that.The observation to the specific endowment constitution of the traditional Chinese medicine is very early, but the special topic research is very little. The specific endowment constitution is a normal and objective kind of constitution and has important actions in some illnesses, so the special research on it is need. We mainly adopt epidemic method to research the character of the specific endowment constitution in this task.The paper consists of three parts.First, the literature summarization. We have introduced the current research situation about the constitution of traditional Chinese medicine and the specific endowment constitution systematically and roundly.Second, the theory studies. In this part we have discussed the concept, the influential factors, the characters, the research meaning about the specific endowment constitution.Third, the epidemic studies. We have worked out the questionnaire on the basis of literature studies, and used it to investigate the people lived in Beijing.The results of the epidemic studies: nine basic groups of constitution all present in nature. There are 93 people having the specific endowment constitution. The appearing rate is 17.55%, is higher than other constitutions.The specific endowment constitution has no distributive rule in the area, sex, age, occupation and culture. The descendiblity, parent age, birth, feed and illness can affect the forming of it, and the results point out that we can improve this type of constitution from these aspects. The specific endowment constitution has unique character.The people who have specific endowment constitution are sensitive to a lot of things such as drug, food, metal, plastic, dust, air, and there are many ways for people meeting these.We compare the difference of QOL in people by the SF-36 scale. The result demonstrates that the specific endowment constitution has lower score than the normal, and the two groups have notable disparity.
