The pharmacodynamics effect on heart-blood vessel of panacis quinquefolii radix and ophiopogonis tuber powder for injection (POP) was studied. POP could obviously prolong the survival time of mice in specificity myocardial anoxia induced by Isoprotereno (Iso) and duration of electrocardiograph in trachea-closed mice. POP could obviously improve the ischemic electrocardiogram T-wave induced by Pituitrin (Pit). S-T segment drifts on electrocardiogram in acute myocardial ischemia rats induced by Iso were obviously opposed by administration of POP. POP could obviously depress the rate of ventricular fibrillation induced by chloroform in mice, and increased the HR of rats in torpidity arrhythmia induced by Ach. POP could degrade the electrocardiogram T-wave and deflate the infarct size in cardiogenic shock of rbts. POP could obviously elevate the blood pressure of the septic shock rats and decreased the damage of cardiac muscle, at the same time it could also decrease the level of whole blood lactic acid and blood-serum NO, blood plasm MDA, and increase blood-serum SOD. The homodynamic studied on rats in narcotics show that the arterial blood pressure (ABP), the left ventricular press (LVP), and the maximal change rate of ventricular pressure (dp/dt) increased after treatment of POP.Summarizing all the experimental results, POP showed the effects of anti-myocardial ischemia, anti- arrhythmia and antishock. And at the same time POP could improve heart function.
