Guanxin Danshen orally disintegrating tablet (GDT) is the optimal proportion defined by even-designed method and pharmacodynamics. The anti-myocardial ischemia effects of this medicine was preliminarily studied in this paper. The results indicated this tablet can significant prolong the survival time of mice in normobaric hypoxia and duration of electrocardiograph in trachea close mice. T wave elevation and ST segment drift on electrocardiogram in acute myocardial ischemia rats induced by Pituitrin (Pit) and Isoproterenol (Iso) were obviously opposed by administration of GDT. This tablet can also significant improved T wave elevation and ST segment drift on electrocardiogram in acute myocardial ischemia of coronary ligated dogs. The tablet can also relieve rats' myocardial ischemia induced by Pituitrin (Pit) and Isoproterenol (Iso), reduce the range of myocardial infarction and relieve blood MDA. The range of myocardial infarction of coronary ligated dogs was significantly reduced. The myocardial infarction areas, releasement of myocardium enzyme aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine phosphokinase (CPK) significantly increased in myocardial ischemia animals, GDT treatment prevented these effects. Those results indicated that Guanxin Danshen orally disintegrating tablet has the protection effects to ischemia myocardium. In hemodynamics studies of coronary ligated dogs, the left ventricular systolic pressure (LVSP); ventricular pressure maximal change rate (±dp/dtmax); coronary blood flow (CBF); cardiac output (CO); myocardial blood flow (MBF) decreased after coronary ligated in dogs. These changes were prevented by administration of GDT, which showed that GDT could prevent the cardiac pump function from acute myocardial ischemia of coronary ligated dogs and increase blood supplement to myocardium. In other pharmacodynamics studies, GDT pretreatment provided significant reduction in writhing frequency in acetic acid-induce pain model in mice.In these elementary experimental studies, Guanxin Danshen orally disintegrating tablet (GDT) showed anti-myocardial ischemia effects. This study provided the experimental basis to the clinical application of GDT. However, the mechanisms accounted for the effects of GDT 's anti-myocardial ischemia deserve further study.
