General Pharmacology Of Eucommia Yang Kun Soft Capsules And Long-term Toxicity Tests Of Beagle Dogs

Duzhongyangkun capsule(DC) is a capsule witch was made of con-glycoside of the seeds of Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. For our purpose to develop DC to a new Chinese medicine,we use animal experiment to determine DCs effects in pharmacology and toxicology area.This article use pharmacological and toxicological method to study the effects of DC on the nervous system and alimentary system such as general behavior,locomotor activity and coordinated motion etc of mouse ;the effects of DC on the circulation system such as blood pressure , heart-rate etc and respiratory system such as respiratory frequency, respiratory extent etc of anaesthetic dogs. Research the long-term toxicity reaction and degree, primary toxic symptom and sid effect, the target organ of toxo- reaction and the circumstances of it's convalescence and progress of beagle dogs witch were taken DC for 9 month. Confirm the dose of nontoxic reaction. Give areferenced dose for people to usd DC safely.Under this experiment condition. DC has no obvious influence to the general behavior the locomotor activity , the push of intestine and the content of water in intestine of mouse. DC has no obviousinfluence to systolic pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean blood pressure, heart rate, time index of cardiac muscle's tension , respiratory frequency and respiratory extent of anaesthetic dogs. The safe dose of beagle dogs were taken DC by mouth is 400mg/kg. DC has no obvious abnormal change to growth and development, organ index,he matology parameter,biochemical parameter, urine and heart rate of beagle dogs.This experiment carried out the safety evaluation of DC ' toxicity. For the purpose to find the especial influence to respiratory, circulatory, central and alimentary system of DC in general pharmacology.Because we can't use person to do these experiments ,we use experimental animal to evaluation it. We use a true and objective evaluation of the safety of the medicine over a long period of time to dose DC. It offer us a series of scientific and available data and dosage for clinical application and safe medication. These experiments also offer us a referenced dosage for people to use this medicine.
