Systematic pharmacognostic study of Geranium sibiricum L. is carried out by pharmacognosyuthentication, chemical constituents, pharmacodynamics and quality research in this thesis.The thesis studied plant morphology, histological structure, microscopic morphology andpollen.Through many kinds of chromatographic methods such as silica gel, preparative TLC andSephadex LH-20, 7 monomers have been isolated from the plant and 6 monomers including 3flavonoids, 2 tannins and 1 triterpene were identified by physicochemical property and spectralmethods. They are Kaempferol(1), Kaempferol-7-O-rhamnoside(2), Kaemferitrin(3), Gallic acid(4),Brevifolin(5), and Daucosterine(6).According to the function of Geranium wilfordii Maxim. in pharmacopoeia, the thesisstudied the pharmacodynamics of Geranium sibiricum L. Compare the anti diarrhea function ofGeranium wilfordii Maxim. recorded in pharmacopoeia and Geranium sibiricum L. used inpopular for the first time.Determine the content of effective constituents in Geranium sibiricum L. fully and finely.Ensure accumulative dynamic analysis of effective constituents for different collection period,collection parts, and collection areas.
