Tibetan Duyiwei Soft Capsule Technology And Quality Standards

Lamiophlomis rotata (Benth.) Kudo is a plant of lamioplomis genus (labiatae family), widely used as a traditional Tibetan herb for hemorrhage and sore etal. In order to exploit the plant rescoures further, studies on the soft capsules of Lamiophlomis rotata (Benth.) Kudo were carried out.We had developed the new drug—Duyiwei soft capsules in which Lamiophlomis rotata (Benth.) Kudo was regarded as the main drug. We investigated and optimized the technique process, made quality standard. Use TLC method, rutin and Lamiophlomis rotata (Benth.) Kudo as index, we had finished the quality indetification; Studied on the content of total Flavonoids by ultraviolet spectrophotometry (uv-vis); Applying reverse phase high performance liguid chromatographic method, we determine the content of luteolin, and the recovery rate of assay met the demand. The method appeared to be simple, accurate and reliable, and can be used for the quality control of the preparation.Studied on chemistry of the bioactive portion and with all kinds of chromatographic methods, in the 70% ethanolic extract, 6 flavonoids compounds were isolated, 5 of which were indentified on the base of spectral analysis and chemical properties.
