Objective: To study the relationship between expression of PTTG andPTEN in laryngeal carcinoma. Methods: The expression of PTTG and PTEN was detected by immunohis-tochemical SP method in 50 cases of LSCC and 10 cases of normal laryngealmucosa. Results: The positive rates of PTTG were 66.0%and 20.0% in LSCC andnormal larynx mucosa(P<0.05), respectively, and the strength of positiveexpression of PTTG were significantly related with histopathologicaltypes, clinical stage, TNM grade and lymphonode metastasis in LSCC (allP<0.05). The positive rates of PTEN were 60.0% and 100.0% in LSCC and normallarynx mucosa(P<0.05), respectively, and the strength of positiveexpression of PTEN were significantly related with histopathological types, clinical stage, TNM grade and lymphonode metastasis in LSCC (P<0.05).Conclusions: The strength of positive expression of PTTG and PTENcan be provide to target for judging biological features of LSCC. The lowexpression of PTEN and high expression of PTTG was related with biologicalcharacteristics LSCC. There was negative correlation existing between PTENand PTTG protein expression in LSCC.
