Objective:To detect the expression of P-AKT and PTEN in laryngeal squamous cellcarcinoma, and research their correlation.Methods:To Select67cases of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma confirmed bypreoperative biopsy and HE staining pathology or ganizations (for the first timeadmitted patients, not the anti-tumor treatment of radiotherapy and chemotherapyand immunosuppressive drugs),and at the same time to select67cases of laryngealmucosa tissue of patients with polyp of vocal cord as a controlgroup.Immunohistochemical method was used to detect cases of laryngeal squamouscell carcinoma and control group p-Akt and PTEN. Correlation analysis between thetwo genes of laboratory data and then We used the SPSS16.0as Statistic analysissoftware and were statistically analyzed using Chi-square test,Fisher’s exat test andSpearman correlation analysis, take a=0.05for the inspection level, P <0.05wasconsidered statistically significant, P <0.01as statistically significant difference.Results:The p-AKT expression positive rate was80.6%in Laryngeal squamous cellcarcinoma and43.3%positive rate of PTEN.As compared with control grouplaryngeal mucosa difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The p-AKTprotein expression was related to lymphoid metastasis,pathological differentiationof laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (P<005).The PTEN protein expression wasrelated to clinical stage, pathology differentiation degree and lymphoid metastasis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (P <005).It showed that the expression ofp-AKT was negative related to that of PTEN in Laryngeal squamous cellcarcinoma(r=-0.257, P=0.036).conclution:PTEN is a tumor suppressor gene, its expression in Laryngeal squamous cellcarcinoma is lower, the expression of PTEN in tissues of control group is higher thanthat in Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma. the expression of p-AKT in Laryngealsquamous cell carcinoma is higher than that in tissues of control group, there wasnegatively correlated between the expression of PTEN and p-AKT in Laryngealsquamous cell carcinoma The hyper expression of P-AKT may play an importantrole in the initiation and development of Laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma, whilePTEN inhibit this process, both involved in the pathogenesis of laryngeal squamouscell carcinoma.
