Compound The Cassia Decoction Petroleum Ether Fraction Chemical Composition

The Juemin jiangzhitang is a Chinese traditional compounds medicine which is composed with Semen Cassiae, Fructus Crataegi and Gynostemma pentaphyllum (thumb.) Makino. It can cure hyperlipemia. Some doctors of our hospital use it to cure hyperlipoidemia and the therapeutic efficacy is reliable. The medicines which compose the prescription have complicated constituents, such as anthraquinone, flavone, saponin, etc. To study the basis of actions of complex prescription,we researched the prescription of Jueming jiangzhitang systematically, aim to provide the basis of the complex prescription in quality control, clinical application and the modernization of Traditional Chinese medicine.The first part of this dissertation surveyed chemical constituents and bioactivities on medicines which compose the Juemin jiangzhitang. Semen Cassiae is the dry and ripe seeds of Cassia obtusifolia L. or Cassia tora L. ,frequently used as clinical medicine. Anthraquinone, fatty acid, aminophenol are major chemical constituents. Semen Cassiae has the activities on decrease blood pressure, reduce blood fat,protect liver arid anti-bacteria by modern investigates. Fructus Crataegi is the dry and ripe fruits of Crataegus pinnatifida Bge.Var.major N.E.Br. or Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. Researches before 1950's concentrate in cellulose, tannin and triterpene. Along with the development of flavone after 1950's,the major research turn to flavone when some investigators point that flavone in Fructus Crataegi can cure the heart disease. For the past few years Fructus Crataegi has been use in the hyperpiesia, coronary heart disease and hyperlipemia. Gynostemma pentaphyllum(thumb.) Makino is the herbaceous rattan of Cucurbitaceae Gynostemma pentaphylla. After 1970's, scholars did extensive and deep going studies by using modern separation techniques and analytical methods. The research result showed that Gynostemma pentaphyllum (thumb.) Makino contains the constituent of saponin, flavonoids, aminophenol, saccharide, inorganic elements and so on. It has the functions in reduce blood fat,decrease blood pressure,anti-tumour, enhance immune system, sedative,acesodyne,protect heart,liver and blood vessel.The second part reported the chemical study on complex prescription ofJueming jiangzhitang in petroleum ether. Precipitate the decoction of complexprescription by ethanol.The concentrate was extract with petroleum ether. The extractwas separated by CCD method and silica gel dry column chromatography. Fiveanthraquinones were isolated form it. By chemical methods and spectral evidences,they are identified as rhein,emodin,chrysophanol,physcion and1-desmethylchryso-obtusin.Five anthraquinones were found from this complexprescription first time.
