Picrorhiza Chemical Composition In Toad Venom And Tibet

This dissertation consists of two parts.The first part reported the study on the chemical constituents from Venenum Bufonis and the second part reported the study on the chemical constituents of the medicinal plants of Picrorhiza Scrophulariiflora.Venenum Bufonis which is widely distributed in China,whose dried skin,or dried body were used as the traditional Chinese medicines for thousands years.Eleven compounds were isolated from Venenum Bufonis by various chromatographic methods,such as macroporous resin,silica gel, Sephadex LH-20,preparative HPLC and so on.On the basis of both physico-chemical properities and spectral data,they were identified as cinobufotalin(1),bufalin(2),gamabufotaIin(3), cinobufagin(4),resibufogenin(5),arenobufagin(6),marinobufagin(7),telocinobufagin(8), hellebrigenin(9),desacetylcinobufotalin(10)and dehydrobufotenine(11),respectively.Picrorhiza Scrophulariiflora which is widely used as an important medicine to treat various immune-related diseases.Eight compounds were obtained from Picrorhiza Scrophulariiflora by various chromatographic methods,such as macroporous resin,silica gel,Sephadex LH-20, preparative HPLC and so on.On the basis of both physico-chemical properities and their spectral data,they were identified as D-mannitol(1),scrocaffeside C(2),scroside I(3),scrocaffeside B(4), picrogentioside I(5),scroside D(6),scroside E(7),respectively.Among them compounds 2-5 were new compounds.
