Pathogenesis And Treatment Of Osteoarthritis Of The Knee Progress

Osteoarthritis of the knee is a common and frequently-occurring disease in the middle age and elder. However, its pathogen and pathology are not clear, and because of the diverse of art lesion and the long progress, its therapy is more difficult.This article reviews the relative documents about the basic and clinical research of the osteoarthritis of knee, evaluates objectively the theoretical knowledge of TCM and western medicine about this disease. According to the relative research in these documents about etiological factor, pathological and treatment of this disease in recent years, our purpose is to give us a system opinion about this disease, and provides some ideas for our clinical treatment.The TCM is more efficacious compared with western medicine on the treatment of osteoarthritis. We carried out Chinese medicine herb matching manipulation that our tutor often used in clinic compared with the control group. Chinese medicine herb matching manipulation is more utility, more safe and less secondary effect through the analysis of the research results. At last, we probed the mechanism of the TCM therapy connected with experience of our tutor.
