Using Erg Evaluation Of Retinal Vein Occlusion Treatment In Phases

Objective To detect the changes of electroretinogram(ERG) before and after TCM treatment by stages of retinal vein occlusion(RVO), for understanding the effects of TCM treatment by stages on ERG of RVO, and making sure that the study would provide the standard treatment of RVO with clinical basements.Methods 1. Inpatients and outpatients who had been diagnosed RVO from the Ophthalmology department of Chengdu University of TCM and People's Hospital of Sichuan Province were gathered. The data of 99 cases completed the process of the whole course of observation was done statistical analysis.2. The patients' general circumstances, medical histories, routine examination of Ophthalmology and the results of ERG were record in detail.3. The gathered patients were divided into treatment group and control group randomly, and the patients were distributed to three stages according to the standard of periods and types of TCM at the same time. The patients of treatment group were distributed by hemorrhage period, extravagated blood period, stagnant blood period and dried blood perid. Patients who were in the hemorrhage period were given "Zhixue" oral liquid, which should be taken orally 10ml, three times a day. Patients who were in the extravagated blood period should be given "Yanxuekang" oral liquid, which should be taken orally 10ml, three times a day. Patients who are in the stagnant blood period and dried blood period should be given "Yishi" tablet and "Huayusanjie" tablet, each should be taken 1.2g a time, three times a day. On the contrast, the patients of control group only accepted 1.5g "Fufangxueshuantong" capsules orally a time, three times a day. Both groups' course of treatment were 30 days.4. There were two courses of treatment, covering 60 days. At the end of the observation, the routine examination of ophthalmology and ERG were executed, and then the data acquired were done statistical analysis.Results Both treatments could improve vision ability of patients with RVO equally. Compared with the control group, the latency time of the wave b of ERG and 01, 02, O3 of OPs come out earlier obviously in the treatment group( p <0.01 or p <0.05),such as the amplitude of wave b of ERG and O1, O2, O3 of OPs was obviouslyelevated (p <0.01 or p <0.05).Conclusion 1. TCM treatment by stages of RVO can improve the vision abilityobviously.2. TCM treatment by stages of RVO can improve ERG and OPs obviously.
