Prunella vulgaris is a traditional fever-reducing drug with many active ingredients. In 'Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2000' it has detected the content of Ursolic acid as the test standard, which is not comprehensive and can't reflect the total quality of the drug. How to analyze and extract the ingredients of Prunella vulgaris is becoming the representative subject in the analysis area.With the UV-visible light spectrophotometry, taking the flavonoids as the index and in the comparison of different extraction processes, the extraction method was formed that being treated by cellulose enzymatic with the help of ultrasonic combined with alcoholic solution. The optimum extraction condition has been got the content of enzyme 0.35 mg·mL-1, the time of zymohydrolysis 3h, the temperature of zymohydrolysis 50℃, PH 4.0, the time of ultrasonic 50 min, the content of ethanol 90%, the rate of liquid 15mLg-1.Adopting the system of HPLC-DAD, the analysis method of Prunella vulgaris was formed and the favourable proof result was obtained. Adopting developing method, analyze the various batches of Prunella vulgaris. Using the DAD detector as distinguishing function and signing 33 common peaks, the most valuable finger-print was obtained.Developing the HPLC of Prunella vulgaris and Ursolic simultaneously, the content of all different batches of Prunella vulgaris was tested. Provide the analysis of Prunella vulgaris with most meaningful information.
