Acupuncture Compound The Impact Of The Metabolic Syndrome Of Insulin Resistance And Islet Cell Function

This study is divided into two parts:(1) The summaries of documents MS (Metabolic syndrome) (2)Clinical observation on treatment of MS by Acupuncture with Medicine. There are 2 summaries of documents in detail. In the first part, the resource of the description on MS is showed, so was the development of Chinese Medicine treatment on it in recent years including the therapeutic theory and modern study. The author analyzed the syptom of MS with Chinese Medinice Classic Theories and the progresses on treatment of MS with Chinese Medicine. The author summarized the current shortcomings and respected the future of treatment MS with Chinese Medicine. In the second part, more details were made on the diagnostic standard, etiology, pathogenesis, investigation.In the part of clinical study,60 cases of MS selected from Dongfang Hospital of Beijing Chinese Medicine University were divided into two groups at random to identify the effect of Acupuncture with Medicine. All the patients got basic treatment. The subject groups were treated with Rosiglitazone Maleate Tablets and the control groups were treated with Acupuncture with Rosiglitazone Maleate Tablets. The therapeutic effectiveness was observed three courses later. The result shows that Acupuncture with Medicine has a remarkable effect to improve the clinical symptoms, FIN, BMI, HOMA-IR and HOMA-β. As to clinical symptoms, the effect of Acupuncture with Medicine is superier to Rosigl itazone Maleate Tablets.Results showed that clinical manifestation of the treated group was improved. Both BMI and Waistline were improved in the treated group (P<0.01). when it compared with that before treatmentand, there was no significance in Rosiglitazone controlled groups (P>0.05). HOMA-IR in both groups was remarked lowered (P<0.01), showing significant difference between two groups (P<0.01). HOMA-βwas augmented in both groups, suggesting significant difference between two groups (P<0.01). There is't side effect in examination. It's the main effect of Acupuncture with Medicine on prevention and treatment of MS.
