Objective:Collected the cases, discussed the clinical characteristics of OSAHS, to explore the syndrome type, etiology, pathogenesis and evolution of the law of the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(snoring symptom) in Traditional Chinese Medicine.Method:This study collected 126 cases of OSAHS (Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome) patients in Beijing Hospital, from December: 2008 to December,2009. Recored their the basic information and Chinese medicine-related symptoms. These symptoms were analyzed statistically, including tongue, pulse, TCM Syndrome, BMI, blood pressure, apnea hypopnea index, blood lipids, physical and chemical inspectionthe. Summarized the clinical characteristics and the principle of TCM syndrome changes in patients with snoring symptom.Result:The snoring symptom patients in this study were mainly elder people (63.0%) and male (81.0%),In three different age groups, the proportion of male patients lagerer than that of female patients, and it shows a significant difference(P<0.05). The patients in short course (less than 10 years) have composed 46.0%. The obese or overweight patients were in a major component, accounting for 80.2%, and most of them are male, it also shows a significant difference (P< 0.05).The weight exponent has a linearity relationship with disorderly exponent. Mainly disease related OSAHS is high blood pressure, which is at the percent of 43.7%. The top 10 investigations of symptom in this study are thirsty, impatience, sleepy, fatigue, tired, insomnia, forgettery, chest tightness, night sweat and windy. The patients with light dark tongue, greasy yellow tongue coating, taut pulse, slender pulse were most. The Syndromes include phlegm syndrome, deficiency syndrome.qi-stagnation, blood stasis, yin-deficiency, qi-deficiency, yang-deficiency. Among all of them, phlegm syndrome account for 61.9%,and deficiency syndrome account for 38.1%. Among this cases, one of the most was phlegm syndrome and stagnation, account for 32.9%. qi-stagnation & blood stasis & phlegm syndrome account for 29.4%,and they had statistical meanings.Conclusion:In this study, most snoring symptom patients in our hospital are male, inverse proportion of male and female was 4.25:1. The patients who were obesity or overweight were in the majority They often have typical clinical symptoms, and with hypertension, coronary heart disease, dyslipidemia,and other diseases. The snoring symptom is a disease with deficiency and solid, the most Syndromes of snoring symptom patients were phlegm syndrome and stagnation. Phlegm syndrome as a pathological product of diabetes, played an important role in the process of development of diabetes.
